Mind, Body, and Spirit

Welcome to my new site! I am so excited to share with you all more about my health and fitness journey. I always say journey because balance and harmony of the Mind, Body, and Spirit is not an easy process and i’m still learning and growing everyday. Personal development, through an invigorated mind, body, and spirit, is vital to reaching your full potential in life. Taking care of our mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health gives us the fuel we need to live happy, healthy, and productive lives. If we’re not taking proper care of ourselves, we can’t take care of any of the other important things in our lives - our family, our friends, our careers, our hobbies, passions, and interests.

So the first thing I want you to do is spend some time really thinking about your overall health and changes you think you need to make. Remember, health is not just BODY but it’s MIND and SPIRIT as well. When we think about health, diet and exercise are typically the first things that come to mind. However, good health isn't just about the physical body. Our mind and body are interconnected and affect each other tremendously. Spend a few days doing this, or however long you need. Really think, and listen to your body. What is your body telling you? How do you feel? Are you tired or anxious? Fulfilled or empty? See what I’ve learned during my journey is that in order to have any success in improving your overall health you have to do what works for YOU and YOUR body! You can’t neglect to listen to what it’s saying it needs. You also can’t just focus on BODY goals, but you have to give your MIND and SPIRT what it needs as well.

Just a little about me if you didn’t know. I am almost 2 years meat and diary free! I consider myself a pescatarian vegan, meaning I eat fish and no dairy. My goal is to become fully vegan and plant based one day! I workout almost everyday! Working out is my outlet and my sacred time for me. I love to run, kick box, swim, spin, and circuit train. Over the last year i’ve dropped around 20 pounds. After listening to my body, I am now a lot more focused on my mental and spiritual health through meditation and other techniques.. I’ll be sharing all of this with you in future blogs.

I will be launching a 30 Day health challenge very soon! So spend some time listening to your body and decided what it is you want to focus on for 30days. Remember it doesn’t have to just be about diet and exercise, it can be reading more and meditating. I just ended a 30 day renewal that was life changing! I plan to share more about how it came about and what I learned in my next blog so be sure to come back. I am going to attempt to go Live on Monday, August 10th while i’m traveling, so join me!
